This traditional Kentish weatherboarded building houses a charming, family-run, historic inn in the heart of the pretty village of St. Margarets-at-Cliffe, the best-kept secret of White Cliffs Country.

Just 90 minutes from London and 10 minutes from the port of Dover, the hotel centres around a beautiful building, parts of which date back to Elizabethan times. Today, the hotel has a stylish contemporary feel, which doesn't compromise its historic charm. In winter, guests can warm themselves by the roaring log fire, whilst in summer they are welcome to enjoy the sun in our rose-filled walled garden.

This room is in the main house overlooking the garden. It is a light, spacious room with windows on 3 sides. The four-poster bed, with its fluffy goosedown duvet and scattering of pillows is supremely comfortable whilst the thick silk curtains at the windows add a hint of luxury.

The superior double rooms at the hotel have been newly refurbished in Spring 2007 in a luxurious, contemporary style. Each is different, so you may have to stay more than once to decide your favourite.

The superior family room is situated in the main house overlooking the beautiful Norman church of St. Margarets of Antioch. The room is light, spacious and furnished with one double bed and one single bed. There is sufficient room to accommodate an additional child on a temporary Z-bed.

Standard double rooms are in the Mews overlooking the garden. They are slightly less spacious than our superior rooms but very light and peaceful. They have the same fluffy duvets and crisp white linen as the superior rooms.
